We are now completely contactless!

I am over the moon to be able to say we have now switched to a completely contactless service.

This has been a gradual process to help some of you with the adjustment of shopping in a completely new way with us.

Closing both our Cullercoats and Blyth shops has not been an easy decision and will probably be a significantly costly one to us as a business. However, you can't put a price on keeping your staff and your customers safe so this was a decision that had to be made. It was just a matter of when.

Keeping the shops open meant we were unable to keep you all safe. The more contact you have, albeit it small, the more you are at risk of coming into contact with a carrier of COVID-19. We are being encouraged to shop only for the bare essentials and if you can do that, or shop for more, without any face to face contact with a retailer then that is awesome.

Firstly you can order with us choosing click and collect (you even get to choose the day you can come) We will email you with a 15 minute allocated time slot and our pick up protocol. You arrive, give us a call, remain in your car and we will bring your order in a crate to you. We advise you bring your own bags and boxes, again reducing the risk of cross contamination, pack your goods and load them in your car. Once you have driven away we remove the crate and clean it down.

Secondly you can book one of our home delivery slots. Our normal delivery runs still apply and in addition we have added a further 3 North and South Tyneside runs. We will look at adding more Durham and Teesside runs if there is a need. Once your order has been placed we produce a schedule and drop you an email with an ETA so you know when to expect our driver.

We have a safe door policy in place for all our deliveries which means our driver leaves your order in a safe place and drops you a text (or gives a call) to say where it is. At the moment our North and South Tyneside runs are being filled on a first come first served basis. Once a van/day is full we start on the next one :-)

We thankyou for your patience and understanding during this time. Every change we have made so far has been to keep you and our staff safe and we will continue to do so.
